As i have been away from the blog for a while, i will write some more post today!!..hehehe
Last week, a friend of Brazil and from PUC, Vinicius, arrived in New Zealand. So we met few times and i could give him some advices about food, places to stay, etc ...
Since he arrived, i have gone out too much. His fault!! Lol... No, seriously, i needed!!! So last week we went out on friday and the other days he just came to my place.
As he had paid for one week at Columbia's (same as me at the begining), he had to find a place to live. In my place a chilean guy was moving out, so we needed someone to move in instead. But Vini didn't want to live with brazilian. Good choice!! Because it is very bad for the English!!
Anyway, probably tomorrow is moving in a kiwi girl. So, Vini has been living here till he find a place and the new flatmate comes.
This week we finally found the "Pagode" in Auckland. Very close to the flat. So we went there to see how was it. The guys who play are good! And after few beers, of course i asked if i could play too. How the guy who was playing "cavaquinho" was left handed and the guy who was playing "pandeiro" seemed tired, i asked him. So i could play, but not for a long time, as the pandeiro was big! 10"!! Then, a guy friend of them, came to sing and play instead of me. But he couldn't play too much too... hehhe
When they started playing "samba enredo", Vini started playing "tamborim". It was cool!!!
Later, after finish the gig, we talked to the guys and next thursday we will come to play with them.
For the brazilian people who has lived in Australia: You don't believe who is manager of the band. MARCONI's cousin!!! MARCONI!!! hahahaha...

Is there still a pagode night going in Auckland? Do you know of people who organized it? I used to play pandeiro, tamborim and tantan every Thursday, too, but across the coast!
