Trip in New Zealand: Geraldine, Lake Tekapo, Mount Cook & Omarama

16/11/2009

After having breakfast we decided to buy a GPS, otherwise we would get lost and waste our precious time. We bought it at the Dick Smith store.

Ready to go, we had our first stop defined: Geraldine.

A really simple and small city on the way to Queenstown. With the spirit of a chinese, we couldn't miss anything and take pictures from everything: Brunch, Police Station, Museum ...

Nothing else to do, we left on the way to the Lake Tekapo. With no doubts, it was incredible!! Wonderful! Really, really nice!!!

After lots of pictures, the next place to visit was the Mount Cook. Unfortunately, up there the weather wasn't so good. Really cold, actually.

In this reason, we just stayed a while, for seeing the museum and to take pictures.

After that we were ready to go straight to Queenstown. However, we were starving and we had to fill up the Fuel.

On the way to Queenstown, there was a really small city, called Omarama. There we enjoyed a mix of Fish, chips and nuggets, all together, full of oil. Lol ...

Everything full, stomach and fuel, we drove to Queenstown. Again checked into the Base Backpackers.

We bought some beers and then stayed a while at the Altitude Bar.
